🌿Lot of Eastern wisdom got crushed by the burden of lazy traditions n docile social politeness. It would be unfair to compare it with western boxing which has been developed over many decades by many people by studying actual fight footage n not just passing on hoards of fixed techniques with no testing. These guys are literally figuring out how to apply their martial arts in a fight during this match. I saw some effective jabs, front kicks, diagonal over hand punches, n little bit of trapping.. it’s like watching my neighbour’s uncle go to a pro fight in the ring with no plan..🍿✨👌

Honestly schoolyard kids fight better. Two who were supposedly "masters" fought like that?? OMG!! That was a disgrace!!! Not sure how they got famous?? They brought bad name and reputation to REAL CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS!!

Funny how in real fighting,form and flash go right out the window. I can't believe they put hitting sound effects like from kung fu movies in the matches.😁

When I was 15 or so, I'd been training in martial arts for about 2 years and up to my neck in kungfu film/shows, i saw this and thought it was a joke and realized it was not. That was the beginning a long journey of self legitimization

On voit bien que c'est de la boxe chinoise, du kung-fu, l'un utilise les coups en marteau dans 8 directions, c'est un vieux style de kung-fu. Les frappes sont souvent circulaires et fouéttées. Mais on dirait 2 débutants, après quelques cours... les frappes sont mal exécutées, il n'y a pas de blocages, les déplacements sont bordéliques...

What a sad looking "fight". It looks like all their martial arts training went out the window. No blocking or yielding. But even their punching looks weird for both of them.

This was just bad... very bad. And what is sad is that for the most part these Folk arts (that fall under TCMA) have not changed. Look how both wade in with their chins up, and with absolutely no guard up, swinging wild. A 6 month in training armature boxer would have beat the tar out of both of them at the same time.

I too trained in Slap Fu Pai as a kid. I sent a lot of school kids home with black eyes.
